Certibionet will attend the Biofach Fair (THE professional fair for organic food) in Nurnberg (Germany) from wednesday 17th till saturday 20th February 2010 (hall nr 1, stand 560 and 660).

The purpose of the association is :
- To assemble inspection and certification bodies for organic agriculture that are involved in research, development, evaluation and improvement of inspection systems in organic agriculture.
- To improve the organic inspection and certification systems by participating in the organisation of a research programme on the inspection and certification systems of products from organic agriculture.
- To facilitate the cooperation between its members so that the development and the harmonisation of the inspection and certification systems of organic products can be accelerated.
- To defend a common ethical charter, a deontological code of the inspection and certification bodies in organic agriculture.
Secondary, the association also has the objective to:
- Represent the member inspection bodies to institutions and international organic organisations.
- Support the creation of new local inspection and certification bodies in organic agriculture in agreement with the ethical charter.
- Communicate, popularise and participate in promotion programmes, and which includes registering, managing and promoting a common label.
The association lacks a lucrative purpose; the resources that result from its activity or from other sources are exclusively allocated to its purpose.
The association is governed by the Belgian law, concerning international associations, of the 25th of October 1919.
